Fix a Leak Week - March 18 - 24, 2024

Leaks commonly happen due to dripping faucets, worn toilet flappers, or leaking valves.  Often, these are easy to fix and the cost of repair can even pay for itself.  Fixing these common leaks can save money by reducing a water bill by 10%.

Water Distribution System

Water service for the City of Wenatchee is unique in that there are two domestic water purveyors within the City limits. In the late 1970s, the City of Wenatchee and the Chelan County PUD Water District established service area boundaries for their respective water systems. At that time the City limits and water service boundaries were very similar. As the City grew, major portions of the PUD water service area became incorporated into the City limits creating this unique situation. To determine which entity provides drinking water

to your residence or business, please click here to view a PDF of the water service boundary map. The Chelan County PUD provides domestic water to all other areas outside the City’s water service area, both within the City limits and in Chelan County

Our system consists of the Regional Supply System, four reservoirs providing 15 million gallons of storage capacity, two booster pump stations and 104.2 miles of pipe that make up the distribution transmission network.

Water Quality
To ensure that safe drinking water is delivered to our home, the City of Wenatchee administers a number of programs required by the Washington State Department of Health including Cross-Connection Control, Water Use Efficiency and Wellhead Protection
