The Building Division ensures the safety and welfare of those who live, work and visit Wenatchee by regulating the construction, use and occupancy of buildings and structures. Building Division staff ensures that building, mechanical, plumbing standards and other codes for construction are met through plan review, permit issuance and on-site inspections.

Responsibilities of the Building Division are as follows:

• Issuance of permits for commercial and residential construction projects in City limits
• Routing permit applications to other City departments
• Plan review
• All related field inspections
• Process permits for:

  • Pursuant to the City of Wenatchee's Ordinance No. 2023-11, codified as Wenatchee City Code Chapter 2.12, to identify, regulate, limit, and reduce the number of defaulted mortgage properties within Wenatchee's jurisdiction, those properties must be registered. 

    On Nov. 15^th 2023, Wenatchee, WA contracted with MuniReg LLC, a third-party company, to administer the City's foreclosure registry. 

    Effective Nov. 15^th 2023, all registrations must go through MuniReg.

     Registrations can be made online at https://app.munireg.com/login or by mail.
