Investigations
This unit consists of a Sergeant and four detectives assigned as investigators, each with specialized training in their area of expertise. One detective primarily investigates crimes against persons, while another operates as a property crimes detective and the third officer serves as a fraud detective. The fourth officer is used to support the others in their fields of expertise.
Columbia River Drug Task Force
One supervisor and two officers are assigned to the Columbia River Drug Task Force (CRDTF). The primary mission of the CRDTF is to combat illegal drug activity, gangs, and violent crime in our communities.
S.W.A.T.
The Wenatchee Police Department features seven officers who join the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office to complete this well-trained multi-agency tactical team.
Bike Patrol
Many officers in the department are trained bike patrol officers. From spring through fall, the bike patrol can be seen patrolling our City parks and the downtown community.
