The Property and Evidence Unit of the Wenatchee Police Department is responsible for the receipt, processing and disposal of all property held as evidence, found property or for safekeeping.

Property Release
Property is released by appointment only to the legal owner of the property or their designee. Photo identification is required. If property is being held as evidence in a criminal case, it cannot be released without a court order, approval of the City Attorney or the Prosecuting Attorney, depending upon which court is handling the charges.

Lost and Found Bicycles
The Property and Evidence Unit stores bicycles found within the City limits. If your bicycle has been stolen, you will need to file a formal report with the Police Department. You will need as much identifying information as possible, including the make, model, color, serial number, and any special identifying marks.

Many recovered bicycles cannot be matched to reports on file because of the lack of available identifying information. You may view recovered bicycles in the bicycle locker located behind the Police Department without an appointment.

Property Auctions
Surplus, found, unclaimed and forfeited property will be auctioned online at http://www.publicsurplus.com.
