A message from the Chief:

Welcome to your police department’s webpage. This site was designed to provide those who live, work, and play in Wenatchee with important information concerning your police department and public safety in our community. We invite you to learn more about the services we provide, but more importantly we hope for open communication between the department and the people we serve. We are committed to helping Wenatchee remain the amazing community it has been for so long.

My first job in public safety was with Wenatchee Police Department as a Police/Fire/Medical Dispatcher. I started on May 1, 1999 – Friday night on an Apple Blossom Grand Parade weekend and never looked back. I also worked as a water utility worker for the City of Wenatchee before returning to Wenatchee Police Department as a commissioned Officer in 2004. I have been assigned to Patrol, worked as a Traffic Officer, SWAT Team member, Police Training Officer, Bike Officer, and Detective. I was promoted to Sergeant in 2013 and Captain in 2016.

In July 2024, I was selected as your new Chief of Police. Wenatchee Police Department is the only place I ever wanted to be an Officer. To start as a Dispatcher and finish as the Chief of Police is something I never could have imagined when I started, but I could not be happier that I will finish my career in law enforcement where I began.

I want you to know more than anything that we strive to be the best law enforcement agency in the region and beyond. Your Wenatchee Police Department personnel are well-trained and driven to serve our community with the highest standards. Many of our personnel are subject-matter experts who teach law enforcement topics to Officers, Deputies, Troopers, and Agents throughout the state. We are partnered with law enforcement agencies throughout Central Washington to provide assistance and to get help when needed. We are proud to be an Accredited agency through the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs.

Most importantly, we are here for you. The Wenatchee Police Department is committed to promoting a safe community and quality of life through protection and service. We can’t do it without you either. The ongoing strong support of our community makes it possible for us to provide the service you have come to expect and allows us to grow.
